FAQs

Do I need to have experience in working out to work with you?

Not at all. Although having some mind body connection can jump start the process, I meet you where you are and help build you up from there. The goal is to progress from wherever you are.

What if I’m out of shape or haven’t worked out in a long time?

I understand how this can be a daunting place to start from, but I love to work with a blank canvas. With everyone I begin working with, the first part of our training is geared towards aligning on expectations and developing a language so you know exactly what I mean when I cue something.

What does a typical session with you look like?

Every session begins with a check in on how your body feels. Then, we prime your body with some mobility and prep through mind body connecting exercises. From there, what we do depends on your individual goals and your energy, stress and needs for that given day.

Do you offer customized programs?

Yes. I have two platforms that you can receive tailored programming. One option is through 1:1 training. In this option, I will support you with real-time coaching, cueing, and any modifications you may need for that workout. Training can be done in person or virtually. The second option is through online programming where you are given structured, pre-written workouts that you can complete at any gym on your own time. We will tailor the number of days to fit your lifestyle. I encourage you to send videos of your exercises, and I will provide individualized feedback and modifications within 24 hours.

How often do I need to train to see results?

This question depends on what you are trying to accomplish, a realistic understanding of how much time you have, as well as how quickly you want to achieve your goals. Most people I work with train 2-5 days a week. We will figure out a rhythm that works for you. You might find it best to do a hybrid of 1:1 training and online programming to fulfill your goals.

What if I am dealing with pain or an injury?

I work well under parameters, so I feel very confident that if you come into a session one day with some ache or pain, we will still be able to get quality work in, and it is likely you will even leave feeling better than how you can in feeling.

Do you offer pre and postnatal training?

I do! I love working with my “mommies” or “mommies to be.” In general, training should prepare you for life’s everyday demands, and specifically with pre and post natal training, exercises we do together is meant to be directly applied to your life outside of the gym, with a deeper understanding of breathing, pelvic floor function, and strength training that is tailored to each stage.

What’s your coaching style like?

My style of coaching empowers people while also understanding how to challenge without. Empower, challenges, no shame. 10 percent of training will be training at your limit. The other 90 is fine tuning the qualities of your movements!
